José Rosón fue un hombre insaciable en su afán de aprender e innovar, virtudes propias de los grandes sabios, y además, generoso con su sabiduría, que compartía con desinterés. Los que estuvimos cerca de él, tuvimos el grandísimo privilegio de aprender muchas de sus virtudes que ya nos pertenecen a modo de legado y que recibimos con honor y responsabilidad. Nos llena de orgullo y satisfacción el haberle tenido como padre y por ello damos gracias a Dios.
Muchos de los que le conocieron compartiran con nosotros la opinión de que una de sus mayores cualidades era su capacidad de visualizar y proyectar el futuro. Él mismo fue un avance de sus tiempos ya que aunque vivió la mayor parte de su vida en el siglo XX constituye el modelo de humanista del siglo XXI con muchos de los atributos necesarios para hacer frente a los tiempos cambiantes que vivimos: tolerancia, visión global, afán de superación y mejora, una imaginación sin limites, un liderazgo natural para ilusionar y conciliar, buen juicio, compromiso… Era además un gran admirador de los valores femeninos y de la importancia de su participación activa en la sociedad.
D. José buscaba la Excelencia y tenía la capacidad de hacer que las cosas fueran excelentes. Siempre pensaba en grande y nos hacía sentir grandes a los que estábamos con él, sin perder nuestra sencillez. Nos protegía, sin agobiarnos; nos motivaba, sin empujarnos; nos educó con el ejemplo en valores y ética.
Fue un placer coincidir con él en esta vida; un regalo de Dios tenerle como padre, una gran suerte contar con él como consejero y el mayor lujo del mundo, tenerle como amigo, el mejor.
Luchador hasta el final, positivo y vitalista, en sus últimos años libró una durísima guerra que fue su enfermedad y aun en esos terribles momentos, los que estuvimos a su lado continuamos aprendiendo. Nos enseñó con maestría ejemplar cómo enfrentar los obstáculos de la vida, con fortaleza, templanza, prudencia y justicia.
Decimos adiós a un caballero; a un Hombre Bueno, con mayúsculas; no sólo bueno en el sentido de bondad, que también, sino por su integridad y ejemplo del buen hacer.

José Rosón was a man blessed with the virtues of great wise men, such as an insatiable desire for learning and innovation. And he was generous with his wisdom, sharing it selflessly. Those of us who were close to him enjoyed the wonderful privilege of learning many of his virtues, which remained with us as a legacy we have received with honour and a sense of responsibility. It fills us with pride and satisfaction to have had him as a father and we give thanks to God for that.
Many of those who knew him will share our opinion that one of his greatest qualities was his ability to visualise and forecast the future. He was a man ahead of his time since, although he lived most of his life in the 20th century, he is a humanist model for the 21st century, having many of the attributes that are needed to tackle the changing times we are living in: tolerance, a global vision, a desire to excel and improve, limitless imagination, natural leadership to inspire hope and conciliate, good judgement, commitment … He was also a great admirer of feminine values and believed in the importance of women taking on an active role in society..
José strove for excellence and was capable of making things truly excellent. He always thought big and made those of us around him feel great without losing our simplicity. He protected us without smothering us; he motivated us without being pushy; he taught us values and ethics by example.
It was a pleasure to have known him in this life; a gift from God to have him as a father; great fortune to count on him for advice; and the height of luxury to have him as a friend, the best of friends.
He fought to the end, positive and full of life. In his final years he waged a fierce battle against his illness and even in those terrible times we continued to learn by his side. He taught us with exemplary expertise how to tackle the obstacles life throws up with strength, level-headedness, prudence and fairness.
We are saying farewell to a gentleman; a Good Man with capital letters; not only good in terms of kindness but also because of his integrity and the example set by his good deeds.
